Mix It Up

I took this picture a while back. I ran across it and thought it was pretty good, so here it is!

I took it at YFE (Youth and Family Encounter) where I was peaking over the tech border and the sound guy said hey to me and then asked me to come in. Being me I took the offer. About five minutes later he put his headset down, told me where a few vocals and instruments for a couple of singers and instruments, jumped up, said "You've got the controls", and took off. Personally I was shocked that someone who I only met a few minutes ago put me behind a multi thousand dollar audio console that I had never seen before and took off. I guess he trusted me. From then on I spent the rest of the talks and such back in the tech area, the sound guy gave me a tour of the production, and I helped them between movements. I love it when things like that happen!

Anyways.... This is a Yamaha M7CL digital audio console. I still like the Midas XL8 more though.

O ya, and when I told the sound guy that I have gotten to work with the Midas XL8 console he stared at me in disbelief. He kept asking me the rest of the time I was there to reassure himself.
